Whenever I have an idea, I tend to think about it over and over and over and over and.. you get the point. I've thought about creating this blog so much to where even when I thought I was ready to create my first post, I put more thought into it.
Hi, I'm Wes. I'm a thinker, a loner, an only child, an introvert, my zodiac sign is a Cancer. I'm single, and as I get older I discover more about myself through thought and reflections on past experiences. Whenever someone tells me about my attitude or actions, if it's something I'm opinionated about, I've got an answer/reasoning as to why I am this way and I'll project my reasoning onto you until you see things my way or we switch the subject or we agree (to disagree.) I'm simple, I dislike overly complicated things, but too simple is an issue, certain things just shouldn't be easy. I'm easily distracted by the internet ( I took a 10 minute "break" while writing this post to reply to a text and ended up on Facebook and Instagram.)
I've talked to a few people over the past year that have tried to help me in my quest to find a mate and most of them have said the same things; go out more/be outgoing, try meeting women in the grocery store, find women with similar interests, try social networking, try a matchmaking service, speed dating and lastly, try online dating. Well; 1) go out where? to a bar? a single man, alone by himself in a bar screams “i have issues”. besides, I'm not that outgoing, 2) most women in the grocery store look like they just threw something on to go shopping and they don't want to be bothered [women let me say this, if you're in the grocery store and you know you're not your best and a man shows interest, that means he sees past your disguise] 3) where do i find women that like bowling, video games, the internet, music, that prefer solitude to a large crowd, water/beaches, porn.. and numerous other things? HUH?! Where do I find these women?! 4) Social networking... really... how do i stand out among the other 98765432345678 followers/friends to a female's profile? 5) Tried a matchmaking service (Shout out to Dee) didn't work. 6) speed dating, in New Orleans, who's putting on these kinds of events? which brings me to 7) Online dating. I don't know if I'm not interesting, I'm ugly, or some of the women on there are just as picky to choosing a male partner as I am towards females because I have very little luck. I'm on POF, Zoosk, Match, and Okcupid, I'm not giving you my names, you'll have to find me.
I’m interested in a few females that I’ve met recently, but most of the contact seems one sided. Once that happens, I like people from a distance. I like to know that people have a similar interest in me, ladies, call/text me first, let me know you’re interested and I’m not wasting my time vying for yours. I mentioned that to my ex recently (we keep in contact because of her daughter) and she said, “that’s how it’s supposed to be Wes, you’re the man.” My reply was “no, that’s not how it’s supposed to be, it wasn’t like that with you. How do you think we ended up dating, because you showed interest.”
So that leaves me here, with this blog. Leave comments, I’ll try to be as active as I can.
Thanks for reading,
